Poncho Villa!

Ponchos and piggy snouts! My new hood is multi-cultural, or uni-cultural actually. And as I am married to a fine Asian
prince, who am I to complain? I love to visit and shop in a new neighborhood, but this one was a bit of a shocker! How does one prepare snout exactly? On the other hand, as I am all about recycling, and a pretty piggy gave up her life to feed us, I am glad that all the bits are being utilized... By the way if you are at all sqeamish , there is a photo of snouts coming your way. Avert thine eyes, but keep reading!

And speaking of recycling...
I am busy preparing many wool ponchos in addition to my new designs for the upcoming sweater season! Keep an eye on my webstore and this blog for updates. I will be adding some new ponchos to the store soon. They are great for summer evenings, so versatile! Worn as a shawl to update a jacket! Add a pretty vintage pin to add that unique twist of charm that sets you apart from the crowd. In the winter I wear mine over my coat for an extra cozy layer. Mmmmm, cozy. Not to be confused with the dire "Mall Ponchos" of a few seasons ago, mine are truly one-of-a-kind lovelyness. And don't forget, sustainable too! Sunny days!

New Digs!

Two hungry lions await a snack at the front door of the new Mod To Modern headquarters. Some people have a problem with slugs in the garden, I have lions in gold lame! Fabulous!
Of course the new location might explain my tardiness in writing. Much moving, painting and set up was required to make sure the studio is in tippy-top shape. I now have room to sew, cut and generally make a wonderful wooly mess of things. And create more woolie sweaters for the upcoming season. Many new designs are rattling around and I love being able to just walk 11 steps downstairs to work! Yeah!!! And if I get hungry, it is just 11 steps up to the fridge. Beauty!
