Hi , the nasty cold bug has bitten yours truly... again! No matter how many times I wash the hands, avoid the sickly, eat well, try to get enough rest etc...I always get hit! Maybe I should try George Carlins method. He says he never washes his hands and basically licks public doorknobs to build up his immunity. Maybe I should hang around inside the hospital lobby and hug small children to build up mine. AAArrghhh... the noisy head doesnt help either. Today I plan to check out some new patterns and develop some new designs . Sweaters are a limited size and even if we find larger ones to cut the amount of useable fabric is always a problem. It can be like putting together a puzzle of sorts. It is also what makes this type of design work fun and challenging. So I will sign off for now as I have work to do and I have to blow my nose. Cheers, pumpkins.

Wed. again

Hi. Well it's Wed. again and the store is again open after my "weekend". Hope you all had a nice Valentines day... that love of any kind was spread around and received. Receiving love is sometimes difficult to do. Received love can be the nuzzle of a kitten or the thanks of a homeless person you bought tea for just because the night was cold. And the love you gave along with the tea was received. I went out to dinner with Jub-Jub, my hubby. Thanks for the roses darlin'. And a beautiful full moon was high in the sky, what a gift. I had a dificult night though as I woke up at the 4:00 witching hour, and lay awake, and had a bit of a panic attack. Why panic when you are safe in bed warm and cozy? Well I have tinnitis which is a constant shrill noise in my head. It is actually the sound of your brain, and maybe you have all have had brief episodes where you hear a shrill noise and then it stops or fades away (is'nt the human body a wonder?). Well, mine never stops and when I wake up in the quiet of the night it is very loud. And I sometimes panic. It can be tough to get back to sleep again and then it's made worse if you are sleep deprived. So a big shout- out to all my tinnitis brothers and sisters out there. I love you all and I understand, yes, I do understand. On another note just to sound like your crazy auntie giving out advice, please my little peaches, protect your hearing at all costs. Wear ear-plugs to loud movies, gigs, around machinery, airplanes , equipment, well you get my drift. Dont do what I did which was blow out my eardrum when I had a wicked head-cold by blowing my nose too hard in the middle of the night. I will bid you a fond good-bye for now. Back to work for I must cut up more woolies today to make more pretty sweaters for you. Kitten nuzzles and peaceful sleep to you all... Michelle

Sunday cuddly Sunday

Hi again. I'm just getting such great feedback about my designs from everyone that I just can't wait for my web site to be up and running so you can all see what I'm up to. It's coming this way, thundering off over the hill. My web designer Penny who has been very patient with my inane questions is busy setting things up. Also, Lia from goodmorning-morning has been great with suggestions and advice. Please check out her designs for they really sooo nice. It is Sunday and tomorrow and Tues. I am closed as usual. It does not mean that I won't be working though. I'll be at the store cutting even more sweater pieces for the Bonster. I love operating my store and meeting all the folks. But I love being here alone with the sounds of the scissors and my mind running free. Colour, texture, weight, weave, density, and innumerable combinations of all of those mixing together in a wooile- funky pile of joy. In my time I have made beds, cleaned toilets, washed dishes, well, you get the idea... I am blessed that I can do as I wish at last. Mind you I struggled to get to this point, it's a lot of hard work and I did it all alone for 6 years. I guess I don't know when to give up, its not in my vocabulary. Oooopps, now I've gone and bored myself!... more later, lurve to you all, me.
