Yay, I got a yard! I am now a land owner! I have been an air owner, that is a condo owner, but this is real , I can pee on it if I want, land. Today I have stayed inside again sending out notices to design sites that mine, exists. Daily Candy, Bust, Design Spotter, Indie Shopper, Inhabitat and Design*Sponge are a few of my favorites and it would be an honor to get listed with any of them. Well, the summer is almost over and I would say that the highlight was an intimate evening I spent with Jack White, my future babydaddy. http://www.whitestripes.com/ Yes, we were surrounded by a lot of other people too and he was on stage with the Raconteurs, but those are merely details. Before he started the White Stripes he used to upholster furniture in Detroit. He used to write poetry inside the fabric so when the piece was refinished, how many number of years down the road, the next upholsterer would find it. He still hides behind that greasy black hair and can that boy play. Listed at # 17 on the Rolling Stone best guitar player of all time list, (who decides these things anyways?) when he plays Ball and Biscuit, well, he can have whatever he wants. They did an amazing cover version of Bang Bang too.
Next up, the P.N.E. kind of a end of summer fair we have here in Vancouver. Jeff Healy, a great blues guitarist will do a free gig and I will be there. And an ancient but ultra-favorite teen idol David Cassidy will show up too. In his day he was Keith Partridge, the most beautiful androgynous, slim hipped pretty boy of 70's tv with the bestest hair ever! We shared many meaningful moments together David and I, as I had many a Tiger Beat poster of him on my wall. I think he lives in Vegas now. Don't worry David, I'm coming to see you! Let's just breathe the same air together for a while, quietly, softly...
